Please join us in establishing the Little Forest Hills Security Program!
Like the successful Forest Hills Security Program, established in 2003, we think its time to bring the benefits of crime prevention education and patrol services to Little Forest Hills.
This is a program offered by the Dallas Police Department.
Our Little Forest Hills Security Program DPD Officers would:
- Enlist off-duty uniformed Dallas Police in DPD vehicles to patrol our streets
- Educates residents about security and safety at various neighborhood meetings.
- Track crime stats & trends to determine patrol hours
- Provide weekly patrol hours
- Educate residents about security & safety Lower crime rates & enhance property values
- Provides home watch for participants while away.
How the LFH Security Program works:
- Officers work in 4 hour blocks
- They also attend our community events
- They keep an eye on our community
- They can check homes for us when we are out of town (Through the Home Watch Service)*
LFH Security Program costs
Annual cost per household: $225 (The more households join, the more patrol hours we get):
- If 200 households participate, we get 60 patrol hours per month
- If 300 households participate, we get 90 patrol hours per month
- If 400 households participate, we get 120 patrol hours per month
*Participants have the added benefit of the Home Watch Service:
Home Watch Service = When you are away for an extended time, or your home is under construction/vacant, an officer can specifically check your residence while on patrol.
